It’s the job of journalists to scrutinise political decisions, demand greater transparency, and explain complex ideas accessibly, rather than sneeringly expecting readers to lap it up, no questions asked unless they’re an epidemiologist.

I question their decisions based on available information from other reputable sources - WHO, Johns Hopkins etc. I want to see their modelling and reasoning. This is not a police state - yet. Open democracy is the only way forward with this. I don't trust Johnson as it is.
