Incredible that so many men were snottily quotetweeting that I’d “clearly not read the article” when I have, know how many older kids in poverty get no meals, and Universal FSM and breakfast would be so cheap compared to so much in the budget.

It’s fucking maddening. Also the ‘but some schools don’t have infrastructure’ argument, as if investment impossible. Have real concerns that as a response to Covid-19 there’ll be an extension of the Easter holiday for schools and the knock on effect that’ll have for kids on FSM.

Yep, if kids who are already hungry are stuck at home without FSM, and with parents who’ve lost money having to take sick pay, it’ll be awful.
