The swelling on my sprain has lowered considerably overnight to reveal all the bruising treasure hidden beneath, going from “pale grey party balloon” to “weird misshapen bag of ink, bones, and giblets.”

Following the NHS directions to the absolute letter, including ice times and not taking ibuprofen for the first 48 hours (I’d always assume you should take it straightaway for some reason), really helped with recovery speed, recommend:https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/sprains-and-strains/ …

I got told to take for first 48 hours then stop taking it If pain is to bad take pain killer without an anti inflammator as it won’t stop the recovery Use ice at the end of the day and heat when you wake up so you can stand on it
