After a particularly bad ankle sprain with some impressively coloured bruising, tell me - please only if you have it, googling isn’t helpful and I’m capable of it - what are your footwear tips for foot drop? Types of sole, style etc.

Sketchers ‘go walk’ - They were almost the only comfortable thing I could wear

Ooh, like that these come with black soles & body so could be deemed smarter than most trainers for day to day work. Is the sole really grippy? My biggest problem is slipping when it’s wet.

Yes the soles are good and I have never fallen over in them. You can also get fitflop slippers which sound silly but actually you also need to protect your feet at home too. Worth a look. Staff at sketchers always good :)

Ooh, they also sound good - had forgotten FitFlops existed after their noughties craze, and tend to wear Birkenstocks during the summer (and never fall in summer as a result, only winter
). Thank you for such good advice!2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

I didn’t know they did shoes! Going to look straight into them, sound ideal. Have also just remembered a) Clarks exists and b) there’s a Clarks factory shop in Elephant and Castle.
