After a particularly bad ankle sprain with some impressively coloured bruising, tell me - please only if you have it, googling isn’t helpful and I’m capable of it - what are your footwear tips for foot drop? Types of sole, style etc.

I’ve never had that diagnosed, but I do get chronic sciatica, and weakness in the left leg & foot (plus fallen arches) and the podiatrist recommended a good trainer where the sole doesn’t bend or flat shoes with a cushioned instep (not just ballet bumps, you need a decent sole)

These are the most comfortable shoes I’ve found, they come in wide fit and half sizes (which I need both of) Good support at the sole and padded inside to stop impact pain whilst walking. https://www.marksandspencer.com/wide-fit-leather-ballet-pumps/p/clp60143814 …

This is great info, thank you! Have wondered what the best shoes were for a while, and found brogues best without knowing why so that makes sense given your podiatrist’s advice.
