Growing up in Norfolk in the 80s/90s, we boys (in particular) used to say that things were 'a crease' if they were in any way amusing. But even though I still live in Norfolk, it feels like years since I heard anyone say this. Which makes me wonder how widespread it was (or is)?

Ah, yes, I have surely heard that form more recently (probably the last time I sent my man out to collect some common parlance to amuse the children). For emphasis, we used to say 'a right crease'.
