That guy also secretly recorded me, and when I turned off my dictaphone asked me why I thought “families loved on benefits”. I’m from one and said it was how society’s structured, which disappointed him.

It seems a (wilfull or otherwise) misunderstanding of how the benefit system works. They have conditioned themselves to think bad people want free stuff when the truth is far more banal.
