loads of disabled people use it. i've been known to, when i'm upset/angry especially - mainly being upset/angry about being treated like shit, tbh

I’d never use the term “disableds” and think disability is far more complex than race or gender, and it sets up an unhelpful “us & them” dichotomy. The tweet I saw it in made the assumption that everyone in a video didn’t have a disability which I think erased hidden disabilities

I follow a bunch of disabled folks on Twitter and "ableds" is a common one when able-bodied people are At It Again (which is often). Way I see it, given the horrible stuff able-bodied folks have called them over the years, an annoyed nickname as mild as that is fine by me.

Ok, but it sounds flippant to me, on an issue that really shouldn't be treated so, and risks ignoring hidden disabilities, while setting up an "us and them" dichotomy, when disability is more of a spectrum.
