When I was a London student & new journo my rent was only £400 a month and I couldn’t even really afford that alongside food/heating, so I don’t know how someone from a truly disadvantaged background could afford £600pm and a £300 non-refundable deposit?
What a grift. I’m a young, w/class journo who lives way outside of London, essentially who this is targeted at. Absolutely no way could I have even considered laying out £600 when I started out
