Men are more likely to agree to something they know nothing about because they assume they’ll find somebody like you to inform them. Women worry about imposter syndrome! Also, sadly, men are still seen as more authoritative.

A radio producer once told me that men never say no when invited This was after I told him I didn’t know enough about a subject to be on his programme. He said women do this frequently, often recommending ‘better’ people, when he feels he would be very happy to have them on.

Some women say yes. Like all those 'think tanks' babes who seem to 'know' everything on everything and although in their 2o's have managed a solid view on things.
