To expand: I’m not squeamish, and don’t flinch when it’s “sharp scratch” time, but I can’t watch and turn my head. Also, unless they’re a dedicated phlebotomist, it takes four attempts to find any effing blood.

I’m the same as you it’s impossible to get blood out, so due to past trauma I am very bad about the entire process and look away unless it’s the 6th go and I want it to happen

Yeah I think I used to wafch as a kid, but now in A&E I know it’ll go badly until they get a phlebotomist (they never listen) so can’t look.

Same I say PLEASE LISTEN GET THE BEST NURSE USE THE KIDS NEEDLE USE THIS BOUNCY VEIN HERE MAYBE CALL THE PHLEBOTOMIST? but no I get stabbed loads and my PTSD gets worse

The worst one was when the nurse was clearly getting angry, finally got it in my hand, it hurt like hell but got no blood. So she left me with it in my hand for 20 mins till the phlebotomist came.
