Nurse said I was weird this morning, so tell me - when you have bloods taken, do you
-
-
To summarise: people who *watch* are weird, not me. And phlebotomists and people who donate blood are legends.

I look away for the puncture part, fine watching it spurt into little tubes though...
-
Same, I can watch then, but not when the needle goes in

Same on both counts, my veins are terrible but phlebotomists are legends.

I look, usually, but I tell them where to find the blood. If they try my right arm they'll be digging about to no good end for ages. Left arm: straight in.
-
Are you left or right handed? Just wondered, as they always try my left arm first and can’t find anything under my soft flesh and move apologetically to the right?

I’m the same as you it’s impossible to get blood out, so due to past trauma I am very bad about the entire process and look away unless it’s the 6th go and I want it to happen
-
Yeah I think I used to wafch as a kid, but now in A&E I know it’ll go badly until they get a phlebotomist (they never listen) so can’t look.
