To expand: I’m not squeamish, and don’t flinch when it’s “sharp scratch” time, but I can’t watch and turn my head. Also, unless they’re a dedicated phlebotomist, it takes four attempts to find any effing blood.

I watch, but also 60% of the time I have no blood. My veins disappear and the nurse’s stabs get more and more vicious
doesn’t matter how hydrated I am or how tight the band thingy is, either. -
