CPS has one objective the LP has many, so running a Party as you would a group of legal eagles won't work. The CPS is a super tanker that needs to steered, the LP is a flotilla that needs to be inspired and led totally different skill sets.

I was going to talk about democracy and voluntary membership, but your analogy does it so much better. Kier does have valuable experience but he could do more to convince me he appreciates the differences.
