Even with a railcard, the fare from Newport is £12.00 a day. The train takes 30 minutes, the uni’s a 25 minute walk from the station, and the only affordable flats for students in Newport are at least 20 minutes from the station. Ludicrous, money-grabbing irresponsibility.

That adds £7 on top of the time and money I’ve already quoted, and doesn’t help the students who need to go to lectures not the makeshift library. Plus it says it takes 30 minutes, so it’s cheaper and quicker to walk.
