When I worked there, 2012-14, the cap-removal-related expansion was underway, which was putting pressure on teaching room space (since Bristol's urban campus isn't large) which meant an increasing tyranny of the timetabling authorities--which was *not* good for commuters like me.

Warwick had huge numbers of commuting teachers too, and I imagine have the same problem too

Easier to build new buildings at Warwick, though, because it's in the middle of a field rather than in the middle of a historic city.

Yeah, they made a big thing of it being “the bubble”. I barely left campus during first year (there’s a 24 Tesco, mini-shopping centre, and Megabus bus stop behind my halls. Also meant a proliferation of cheap housing in Leamington or where I lived, Coventry.
