Completely spot on, the vitriol aimed at anyone rightly pointing out transphpbia is horrific, and me and pthers won’t back down over our views. Equality is important, hate is destructive.https://twitter.com/frittaker/status/1206257792677535744 …

should go without saying that any journalist who calls out the rampant transphobia within the industry should not be forced into an apology, no matter how clumsy that calling out was.

Gotta make sure your followers understand what you call "pointing out transphobia". This is what he had to apologize for, accusations of abhorrent journalistic practice at 2 in the morning.pic.twitter.com/SlExMzTFBa

i think those later tweets were ill-advised, sure, but given the absolutely vicious transphobia evident in the response to both louis, myself and others, i can't help but feel that attacking him on those grounds might be a bit of a pretext? idk! broadly, he was in the right

Completely agree. Claiming the election was lost because the manifesto wasn’t transphobia is ludicrous. And I have no idea why so many people seem completely obsessed with toilets. We go in cubicles so I just do not understand why transphobes are so obsessive about loos.

I agree it had no effect on the election and loos are really the least of my concerns. I'm more concerned about hospital wards, prisons and women sports.

So female people spend a lifetime being told to be careful of male people cause of the risk of assault from them & then all of a sudden we're 'transphobic' for expressing concern that male people are now invited to share spaces in which female people are removing their clothes.

Do you *really* believe this is just about toilets Dawn? Are you oblivious to what happening in women’s prisons? Women’s sport? Hospital wards. If you going to advocate for males with gender dysphoria to use our toilets you’ll have to defend that position in all our spaces.

Nobody is claiming that the election was lost because the manifesto wasn’t ‘transphobia’. That’s not even a real sentence. But maybe ask Jo Swinson whether dithering over the definition of women on TV cost her any of the 149 votes that fucked her career into history.

Defending rampant defamatory sexist ranting and bullying in classic show of professional jealousy. Pathetic.

Wow your take on this is just plain weird - but please do me a favour come up to Scotland where a young girl was sexually assaulted by a young trans women - you can explain your point of view to the girls family and how women shouldn't worry - I wonder how you would fare
