The placard was reported nationally in 2017, but had no swastikas present. Simon Hart spoke repeatedly on it, and said other signs were daubed with swastikas, but never shared photos of those. Now after two years in storage, the original sign has accrued... two swastikas.
He mentions it often and local opponents describe it as “his hobby horse”. Questioned by his local paper, however, he was suddenly media shy and said “I am not going to make any public statement whatsoever”.
You misunderstand. He added the swastikas cos he thinks they're cool. He's got them on his pencil case too.
What is the story behind this? In what way is it a rational explanation that he did it himself? Sorry for dumb q.
The image the newspapers have is from 2017 and has no swastika. He claims in 2019 that he had his poster defaced and there seem to be added swastikas where there had been none. He is trying to garner sympathy.
