Update - I got a second opinion, and it *is* an infection, and the blood was from a skull fracture thanks to a seizure. Even standing up causes palpitations right now, so really enjoyed having to go find another doctor.

Replying to a disabled person talking about their health with “urgh your body’s a mess” is never appropriate or welcome, but happens all the time and is always men you don’t follow. Fuck off.

I was told by a paediatric ENT consultant that teenagers never get ear infections, so the appointment I took my son to (after more than 2 years waiting) was a waste of his time. Lovely chap...

Reminds me of A&E Doctor who told me the throat and ear aren't linked. I said what about the Eustachian Tube? No answer.................or was he a doctor?

As someone who has had two perforated eardrums in my life a. you have my endless sympathy and b. both were caused by ear infections as confirmed by a GP and antibiotics
