Got a call from the hospital asking what they could do “in the community” to lower how often I have to use A&E. Same day, tried to make a GP appointment for an ear infection that’s left me unable to eat/drink for four days. One week wait.

Oh god I bet. Everyone I see at A&E is very ill and no one wants to be there. No one goes along for a laugh.

Well
@swindonccg are closing the walk in service heavily used by patients not able to get appointments. Despite telling me earlier in year this was not true. As there is 40% GP shortage & retention issues in our LA along with closing service our A&E will be hammered!#VoteLabour - End of conversation

Some of the services that help regular hospital patients reduce the number of times they need to attend are excellent, particularly in elderly care. But properly funded heath and social care should be at the top of the list
