the extent to which you get dismissed when you’re a new mother is absolutely horrendous. twice i’ve turned up and gone ‘i’m desperate, i know there’s something wrong, this is not normal’ and they’ve gone ‘actually it’s fine see ya

I am in the unusual position (esp in London) where I finally have a specific GP who finally understands and treats problems, whereas before I had severe epilepsy classified as “headaches and attention seeking” and my intestines fusing to my uterus as “normal period pain”.
