moisturising heavily overnight has helped, weleda skin food is the one i'm using at the moment as a sort of barrier cream as a final step as it's SUPER SUPER heavy, but nothing's going to stop the oil completely. beyond a few cheats we're just gonna be lovely and greasy.

i've been using MAC's foundations but i'm just going to assume if this is something you struggle with you use ~some kind of matte foundation~, so with that in mind: applying foundation lightly in layers has really helped as well. not the oil, but how long it lasts.

i do a little bit all over with one of those flat-head buffer make up brushes, a little bit more, layer it up, and i find it's more long-lasting that way. unless you're caught in the rain. or have to run up some hills. no wins there.

also: those make up setting sprays seem to be good, they're fine, i've never had a favourite. i do however really like the maybelline setting powder which is REALLY WHITE but very finely-milled and does actually set things pretty well. not one to carry around tho.

also: zinc. the ordinary do a cheap niacinamide + zinc serum which is AMAZING but also the serozinc spray from la roche posay is great for this. no idea if it works as a supplement but as a skincare ingredient it's REALLY helped.
