Went to buy a book for a friend and the woman in front of me in the queue was looking for a book, didn’t know the title, author, what the cover looked like, or anything about the plot, just that it came out this year. Bookseller was incredibly patient.

The bookseller couldn’t figure it out surprisingly, then the woman saw it on a display as she was leaving: Three Women by Lisa Taddeo, which is apparentky non-fiction, contrary to what the buyer initially claimed.

(I couldn’t remember the author surname and title of the book I wanted so spent ten minutes in the wrong section googling endlessly until I hit the jackpot and could ask if they had it in, cos I’m a wuss)
