No matter how healthy you are, everyone with an iphone should setup their medical ID: I’m epileptic, so for eg if I collapse & am unconscious the ambulance crew can see my medical conditions, allergies, and most importantly, call my loved ones. Do it!

Thank you SO much for this. My son has severe allergies and this will be our first task in the morning

So glad to hear it! I got admitted after collapsing with what I thought was just a chest infection the day before a doctors appointment, they checked my phone and saw I have anaphylaxis in response to penicillin.

We think we're so adept with our iPhones, yet I never knew about this function
Again, thank you. Hope you're on the mend1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
I only found out about it a few months ago! By chance, just after I’d wandered outside my flat in a daze and collapsed without my keys/phone/bag. Luckily my cab driver came to shout at me for being late, found me, called 999 & the BBC, who called the Guardian, who called my pals.
