It’s incredible how hard NHS staff work in the face of cuts, and the fact MPs have made it harder to qualify as a nurse with bursary cuts is incredibly dangerous in the face of staff shortages. Such short term idiocy is typical of austerity, but this is particularly harmful.

Totally. Almost all health workers are paid about half as much as they should be. The wife literally saves kids lives every night and is paid an absolute pittance for the value provided to society.
-
In absolute awe of her - pass on my regards: watching the nurses deal with incredibly ill, often very difficult people, I constantly wondered why on earth we pay bankers and politicians so much, and nurses so little.

Nurses know how to do EVERYTHING, omg. They know so much about different fields of medicine, on top of having to be nannies, cleaners, administrators and psychologists. Extreme respect.

Also yikes, you're still in hospital...
