Is there really a moment before a seizure where the person is aware one is about to descend?

For lots of people yes: I often get a sense of deja vu, or a sense of doom, and try and sit down as soon as possible. But sometimes you get no sign. Others, you’re dazed before: one really bad one, I left my flat for some reason & seized in my stairwell and a cab driver found me.

That must have been terrifying. Does stress/tiredness/other environmental aspects mean a seizure is more likely & can it be like pain flare ups, where there are extreme periods for no obvious reason?

Yep, all of those cause flare ups. I tend to get my worst seizures during intense political periods, so have to watch myself.

And also yes, sometimes you just get a period of seizures for no reason, exclusively to wind you up, and doctors record that *yes* you took your meds, and *yes* you have still had a massive seizure and bit your tongue to shreds regardless
