For all the talk of Universal Credit getting rid of cliff edges the biggest cliff edge still remains when you earn just over the threshold where you suddenly lose FSM, free prescriptions, free eye care, free dental etc. Culmalative impact is huge

And also why John McDonnell’s regular odes to universalism are so pleasing to hear but sadly Labour (in England) hasn’t said anything on prescription charges and (nowhere) anything about basic eye and dental care becoming less means tested
