The negative email is quite amusing. A bloke trying so hard to upset me, but knowing he’s battling a vast, very strong, positive feeling he has no hope of upending.pic.twitter.com/TMHvPbW8Y1

Deadly top
This is so brilliant! Thank you for writing it
I’m so happy for you!
I rediscovered the serenity of the church in my thirties - sometimes I am given reason to feel a little ashamed when admitting my faith (I shouldn't) - but reading this cheers my soul - thanks for writing
Only one negative?! That must be a rare happening! Do you think we’re seeing a shift in public attitudes to faith?
I don't think so. There's just no point in commenting.

I loved it, so well expressed (and relatable)
Lovely piece. Beyond prayer, in a fragmented, often bitter, society, Church is where I meet people of different politics, class, ethnicity as equals at the altar rail. A living testament that there is more that unites us than what seems to divide - we are all made in God's image.
That’s a really lovely piece, Dawn. I’ve long since left the Catholicism of my childhood behind, meandered through Paganism, then drawn by the social fervour of Unitarianism where I have finally settled. But I get it. The sense of a community which celebrates it differences.
