Get flags out of God’s house, it’s quite simple. Churches aren’t built to worship the state.https://twitter.com/PaulEmbery/status/1122993155241123849 …

Why are people shocked at Dawn Foster's contempt for a display of patriotism? She is a Guardian writer, for heaven's sake. The liberal Left hates the concept of nationhood. Always has. It doesn't fit with their 'no borders', bohemian, cosmopolitan worldview. This is nothing new.

All the men screaming at me aren’t churchgoers, and all the Anglican priests I know were also appalled by it, so stay in your lane.

Flags are in many, many churches in reality.

Gets a bit tricky when the head of the church and the head of state are one and the same person though, eh... Speaking of which, how many churches are under the dominion of the Queen?

The Queen is NOT the head of the Church of England.

St George's day parades usually entail the Union Jack borne aloft by a Brownie.. whatever our feelings about the uniformed assocs, or the Church, this for sure isn't that. Nationalism has no place to be muddled up with faith. A dangerous path.

Of course every Anglican priest was appalled by it. They are all middle-class liberal-Lefties too.
