Loads of people I knew growing up had to (and still do) travel to England for care because specialists are concentrated in big city hospitals. It’s not ideal but denying care is utterly ludicrous.

Stories like this really frustrate me, both for the subject matter but also for the lack of depth to the report. Lots of "this is an outrage" but scant detail "funding issue". What funds? From who to who?

We have had this situation for a few years here in Northumberland. No longer allowed to use Scottish Hospitals which are actually nearer to me than the English major hospital.
