And Nicola Sturgeon was 8 years old when the events of this ad took place. What is your point?

Nooooooooo BLAIR did that.

Blair was still Labour. Most of the MPs now were MPs during the Blair years

The 1979 vote of confidence was lost by a vote, Gerry Fitt & Frank Maguire abstained, largely because of Roy Mason's record in the Northern Ireland Office. A not insignificant part of the story...

Not stupid when placed in context. Present Labour leadership’s hands are clean of war crimes. In 79 Labour lost by 1 vote. Dr Alf Broughton was too ill but Callaghan would not allow him to attend in ambulance. Ironic Jo CoxMP RIP was elected to Batley n Spen Alf’s old seat

....context important Dawn. ‘New Labour’.

Context is important Lisa. The 79 Labour govt ruled this referendum result a No, before the SNP voted against thempic.twitter.com/R2jxo9jbaU

Correction. "New Labour" (and specifically, Tony Blair) took us into Iraq. There's a huge difference.
-
Agree it's a big difference but, as a Labour member and Corbyn supporter, I still think it's a stupid advert. 1979 might as well be 1879.
