It wasn't actively terrible, but my GCSE Geography field trip was to a town centre. In the school's catchment area. Another one was just a minor high street in Leicester. They might have both been the same day, tbh.

An actively terrible one might be Pizza Express in early primary school, which would normally be awesome but I was tricked into eating olives (I was told they were just dark grapes) and that is my overriding memory.
