Criticism of the speed with which Chris Williamson was suspended rings hollow when the Conservatives are entirely ignoring Sayeeda Warsi’s calls for an inquiry into systemic Tory Islamophobia, and Boris Johnson facing no repurcussions for his “letterbox” burqa comments.

Also I’m still waiting to see what the party’s response to Michael Fabricant’s retweet of an islamophobic tweet directed at Sadiq Khan will be. Like 8 months later.

As moronic loudmouthed embarrassments go, irrespective of his loyalty, it's obvious Williamson should have gone ages ago. I mean, how's he still in office after he nearly started a war with China?

But it is where Corbyn is most vulnerable. Because of this it is the easiest way of killing the Labour Party. The Tories can afford to ignore their issues whilst the spotlight is on Corbyn. It is a real sorry state for democracy in a multicultural society.

The fact Sayeeda Warsi has been deliberately ignored by the Tories is awful. @miqdaad has highlighted the depth of Islamophobia everywhere to no avail. On Sunday Politics, Melanie Philips literally said there was no excuse for antisemitism, but Islamophobia was different.

There are numerous examples of racism in the Tory party in Scotland, mainly by councillors, but they are completely ignored.

Or Boris calling black people picaninnies, or @ZacGoldsmith running a famously racist mayoral campaign.
