My GP receptionist has forced me to see a doctor before giving me a repeat prescription for my epilepsy meds because “You had a prescription on 2nd Jan for 60 tablets” even though I take two a day.

Obviously the receptionist never booked me a telephone appointment despite saying they had

Excited that it has so far taken two days and counting to get my repeat filled, and sure it’ll be easier to get these tablets from Belgium if we crash out with no deal

They have given me A WEEK of tablets. Seriously, who is stockpiling medicine, how are you doing it.

It's totally random. I used to be able to get a repeat prescription online - but they took off what I needed because it was an 'acute symptom' - all the more reason to make sure people get prompt meds you might think...

They watched me on Keppra like a HAWK because of the appetite-suppressant side-effect, people apparently sell them on the internet. That’s just a fun fact for you though, your case is obviously cut and dry. Your surgery sounds like a nightmare.

WOW, I did not know that - assume the same of Topamax? Wild.

GP receptionists can be a trial. I had one that insisted on people telling her what was wrong with them in open conversation in the waiting area. I refused repeatedly and she got pretty angry. Still saw the GP, but the additional stress was unnecessary.
