My dad is a retired pathologist, and he used to bring bottles of blood home to put on the garden. Twitter - What did your parents/family do that you thought completely normal?

I was often sent out for my dad's cigs. When I was 12 we moved from Glasgow to north Wales, and I honestly didn't know why the woman in the shop wouldn't sell them to me the first time I was sent out.
-
When my grandparents sent me out to buy biscuits, they said I had to tell the shopkeeper to put them on the tab. The shopkeeper denied flatly that this was ever the case.

My parents (theme developing here) used to leave us in the car and go "for a quick drink" while my sister attacked me with the cigarette lighter. They weren't animals, they'd bring out a bottle of tonic water and three straws for us.

Same here. Me and my brother were left to fight in the car whilst they had a quick lunchtime drink. They brought us out bottles of coke and crisps! I can’t imagine any scenario where I would have done this with my own son!!!
