The issue isn't staying in social housing (though it's in short supply), it is voting against higher rents for those earning high wages. If you are wealthy and pay more rent it can be pumped back into the system for those who can't afford it.

Your article sadly misses the point. Nobody would object to her living there if the same opportunity was afforded to everybody, sadly it’s not. It says a lot about somebody that they are happy to earn a high salary whilst depriving those more needy of a home. Speaks volume of Lab

clinton made this same argument about free college: “i dont want trumps kids going to college for free!” that didnt convince anyone and neither does this. universality is absolutely key. means testing is an absolute cancer of liberal politics.

Should rich people not use the NHS or state schools? Clearly it is more costly to stay in a council home than to buy cos you miss out on the speculative profit of the housing bubble. Profit that comes from our taxes & excessive rents & mortgages. Kate is saving us money.
