Didn’t notice this at all, until university, where the posh girls wore tracksuits and treated me like a curio for blowdrying my hair for a 9am seminar. Message being: “If you belong here, you don’t need to make an effort.”

Poshos at my uni had a chav themed social where half the girls looked smarter than they usually did, which I wasn't sure was their point.

I recall having a pop at somebody I knew who went to oxford & their JCR had a chav fancy dress theme. She went as a pregnant council estate person. Thought I was being unfair having a go, as tho I had a chip on my shoulder. Errrr, no! You’re just being a classist arsehole.
