The pic “back street in Burnley”, is so appropriate. Burnley is a fantastic, old, proud town, that’s been destroyed by deindustrialisation and government backed “(un)managed decline” a policy threatened to destroy L’pool in the 80s. We must resist managed decline everywhere.

I don’t disagree with your analysis of the plight of areas left behind, the c1.5 million people in London who voted Leave had a far bigger impact on the result than c65,000 in Lincoln. This is ignored in many commentaries that treat the result like a FPTP set of results by area.
