Just had an incredible row with a posh guy in Clapham, where I told a homeless guy I had no cash but if he wanted anything in the shop, I'd get it. He asked for a can of Stella, I got him two, and the bloke tried to grab them off me.

Like you say, we all do something just to get by. A treat, a drink, a smoke. Homeless people need extra. Just ignorance on behalf of these people who probably got a job from their dad's mate anyway.

It's the same with food banks. We always put biscuits/sweets in our donations. I've been hard up before and know the pleasure a biscuit or whatever can bring. Needing help shouldn't mean you can't have pleasure.

Typical elite attitude everything a rich person does is good no matter what but everything a poor person does is bad no matter what.

Oh this happened to me once when I gave money to a very distraught crack addict but the thing is she was traumatised and in pain and actually I don’t care if she didn’t go to the hostel she said she needed cash for.

Everyone thinks the majority of homeless people are drug addicts, but only some are. And most would not spend the money on drugs, because they are so desperate for food and money to pay bills. There are people who go around saying so and so is an addict, when they are not.
