Ironic that the establishment types who now try to appropriate Monash are the same ilk as the anti-Semites politicians who did everything to stymie his military career.

That establishment group included one Keith Murdoch, father of Rupert Murdoch.

As an engineer, scientist, physicist I’m sure Monash would agree that #RenewableEnergy isn’t the answer to #Australia’s #energy crisis. He would come to same conclusion that #CAGW is a con of highest order. He would be turning over in his grave reading what his relatives wrote.

As an engineer/scientist/physicist he would recognise that there wouldn’t be an energy crisis needing an ‘answer’, if our governments had invested properly in leading technologies in the first place...rather than propping up their coal mates as long as they have.

Frankly all the 'Monash' group of MPs should declare what income they are receiving from any mining company

Yep thought the same thing myself, no one carries on like this about bloody coal unless Gina and the other companies are adding some extra weight to their respective piggie banks!

they really are determined to secure their place in the rubbish bin of history. How dare they appropriate the name of Monash.

As an engineer I respect the contribution that Monash made to my profession and to this country - I think it is poor taste for this group of politicians to use his name this way - by any measure Sir John Monash is the greatest Australian
