  2. Hanley wins it for Red Sox. They were losing 0-2 in the ninth. Now win 6 straight.

  3. Going into a long tunnel. Wonder how this will turn out...

  4. Rays on to their 7th pitcher (Yarborough). Sox have runners at 2nd and 3rd, 1 down in the 12th.

  5. In Bos. Rays are in a “bullpen day” and have used 6 pitchers heading to the 12th. If they were to have starter knocked out early on Fri, could pose problems except - weirdest of weird scheduling quirks: Sox & Rays are off on Friday (Sox home opener today, so built-in off day Fri)

  6. Rays-Red Sox going to the 12th. Replay review looked like Sox should have won it in the 9th, but I think the the right call was ultimately made. It has to be an obvious missed call to overturn, right?

  7. heard Alex Cora on WEEI with Joe Castiglione, who asked about Rays starter Yonny Chirinos. Cora praised him, but also noted how hard Sox hit the ball against him last time out in 4 scoreless IP. Cora sounded a little defiant, almost trash talking in this era of say-nothing mgrs.

Have you ever seen what he does with his school? Did you see the way he conducted himself on tour the last part of his career? We should all be so low class

Novak Djokovic’s website announced he is no longer working with Radek Stepanek, who was praised for all his support and help. It also said Djokovic is dedicated to returning healthy and strong. Icy last line: The cooperation between Novak and Andre Agassi has also ended.

Rob Manfred just said that a lot of catcher mound visits are “driven by paranoia.” Love it! He went on to say he knows sign stealing exists, (and this is me talking now) but it doesn’t give the catcher the right to halt the game because they don’t have good enough signs.

The ball almost went out but bounced off the wall and rolled away from Adam Jones, who had to chase it down. Wasn’t even a throw home.

Inside the park home run for Carlos Correa. Awesome. He didn’t even run hard to first.

Sterling’s home run call for Gregorius, compared to at least one other new one, is a masterpiece in its simplicity: Yes Indidi. Gregorius makes Yankee fans Euphorius.

Just an FYI, John Sterling called that terrific catch by Gomez perfectly on first sight.
