Americans have removed (or tried to remove) their unpopular, unable, or unfit presidents in many ways. Those stories fill my book, How To Get Rid of a President. Available now in hardcover, ebook, and audiobook—order via links here:

Trump offers an excuse for the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan that even the Russians don’t make. What accounts for his pro-Putin orientation? That is a question we must hope Mueller will answer. But it’s hard to think of an innocuous explanation. Me:

  7. How do you remove an unpopular, unable, or unfit president? Our country’s history provides plenty of examples, which I pulled together in my new book. I hope you enjoy reading these stories as much as I enjoyed researching and writing them:

It’s 100 percent true - and I highly recommend your timely book “How To Get Rid of a President” on the history of how Presidents leave office/impeachment for anyone who wants perspective on how difficult and improbable-but not impossible-it would be for this to happen in 2019.

  13. Didi Rapp is a delightful person and a great choice to lead analysis at CIA. As I told for this article, it's historically unusual and meaningful that the CIA’s leadership cadre is entirely career officers—not choices forced upon the Agency.

Burr has been pretty good at protecting a serious Russia investigation in SSCI. The other GOP on the committee will be in position to validate investigation findings, back Dem HPSCI, and even Mueller report so adding Trump-skeptic like Sasse could spell bad news for White House.
