I’d rather he not have been an Englishman or whatever that was supposed to be, but that’s not half as bad as stripping away his “born in a prison” origin and giving it to Talia but then not even bothering to make Talia a master combatant and just having her spy on Batman.

It totally neutered Bane with that reveal. Like he was demoted. Plus talia al ghul, master Assassin dies in a fender bender. Not really worth it.

I don’t think she ever even picks up a sword. Bane is downgraded by taking his origin away and she’s wasted altogether IMO. It’s criminal to present Talia in a way that doesn’t immediately reinforce that she’s everything R’ad was and more - trained from birth to kill and lead

Yeah, it’s like we all wanted Talia. It’d make sense. But don’t mess with what we all bought into. That Bane was a monster. Otherwise he’s just a guy who got the shit kicked outta him in prison.

The issue was his size. I know they played him up as this tank but he wasn't nowhere as bulky as he should've been, even when you compared to how jacked Bale was in Batman Begins. Bautista has the right stature for Bane, but even then I would prefer he play someone else.
