He was put in the hard situation of playing a character that was originally Caribbean/Latin. So the vaguely foreign voice made sense I guess...

I’d rather he not have been an Englishman or whatever that was supposed to be, but that’s not half as bad as stripping away his “born in a prison” origin and giving it to Talia but then not even bothering to make Talia a master combatant and just having her spy on Batman.

It totally neutered Bane with that reveal. Like he was demoted. Plus talia al ghul, master Assassin dies in a fender bender. Not really worth it.

@DaveBautista is mediocre at actor. It’s not like they’d be passing up on Tom Hanks. Surely they can find a Latino actor to play the part. -
I think he’s worked very hard to get a respectable level. His Drax redefined the character and I thought his small blade runner part was quality. But I agree, Latino actors should definitely be considered first.

No, I believe Dave is of Greek and Filipino descent. I wholeheartedly agree that Latino actors should be heavily considered. Just as it was a response to James Gunn directing a DC property it’s the best fit I could think of. Sorry if I offended though.

I just went with it because I liked his KF dynamic, because goddamn give me KF (Rebirth). KS's character design is on the table for me.
