The hiccup in all these stories about whether Pelosi is toxic and will destroy the Dem Party’s chances is this: GOP groups just spent $10m making that case in an R+11 district and... it didn’t work.

It likely didn’t work because the Democrat looked right at the TV cameras and said he wouldn’t support her to be leader of the Democrats.

Maybe some GOP sources of yours will have internal polling of efficacy of Pelosi attacks w/GOP base, weak GOPs, and indys?

That’s sort of my point though. If the concession here is that if you look in the camera and say you don’t support Pelosi you can neutralize $10m in outside advertising, that means that the advertising is not that effective

Lamb was a vastly superior candidate who made some key separations from his party even as he embraced many key Dem positions. His advantage in candidate ads helped. Outside groups aren't same as direct candidate appeals
