Lamb is a moderate right leaning Democrat. You do realize his views are more in line with Republicans than they are with Democrats right? Are Democrats planning on running more candidates like Lamb? Don’t think so.

Well what we've been doing sure hasn't worked. I live in Iowa where the effects of a R controlled legislature could not be more devastating. I think it prudent to let locals decide what kind of candidate can win.
-
What are Republicans doing that is so devastating?

Moreover, the president felt the need to go campaign there in person.

Keep in mind Trump won by 20 pts. At least some of them smartened up.

But, that doesn’t mean the diehards will stop trying to spin it as something positive. It’s still just a pig ... but has lipstick now.

Dems have a registration advantage so this is not unexpected and whichever candidate wins in the end, Progressivism has been repudiated.

...by a district Trump won by 20 points.
-
Trump wasn't mobilizing Republicans -- he was an outsider who won by mobilizing Democrats who hated what Clinton, Pelosi, and Obama were doing to their party.
-
That’s not even remotely born out by any of the information we have. He won the overwhelming majority of the Republican vote. PA-18 is at least an R+11 district.
-
With more registered Dems than Reps. Lots of Reagan Democrats there.
-
If they’re registered Democrats that regularly vote Republican, well...I think their voting patterns trump their registration. Like “independents” who vote GOP 100% of the time.
-
It's not a "regular" vote for either party. They're conservative Democrats who hate the party's lurch to the left and embrace of identity politics. Lamb understands that and repudiated the party leadership. The voters are responding to that.
-
I’m sorry, I cannot take anyone who uses “identity politics” unironically seriously. “Identity politics” is just a nice way of saying “conversation that doesn’t center straight white guys by default”.
