Nothing necessarily out of bounds about this comment from Trump, per se. BUT .. Trump will always lose CA, but if he loses it by less in 2020 he could improve his chances of winning the popular vote. This doesn't help toward that. =>https://twitter.com/PeterAlexander/status/973652814709907457 …

not to win but he could improve his number by a million
-
Right. He could. But badmouthing Moonbeam is not the way to do it. I'm not arguing he shouldn't do it as a rule. I'm saying it won't help with increasing his vote total in the state.
-
And you still don’t understand why he was elected in the first place. He says what he thinks, not what he’s told or what gets him elected!
-
There's such a thing as too much of a good thing. Tempered authentic Trump scores better than completely unleashed Trump.

Says someone who didn’t support or vote for him or doesn’t talk to the average voter.

Jerry Brown approval rating 56 - 29 http://bit.ly/2DqtrD2

show me polling data on how Californians feel about their tax burden and get back to me
-
Voters in California approved a sales tax increase in 2012 and they've voted for a number of them locally in Los Angeles County and other areas in recent years -- many requiring a 2/3 majority for approval.
-
Unlike New York, California has moderate taxes on middle-income families. Taxes are only high at the top of the income scale. What makes California unaffordable is home prices.
-
This is also what makes California a fiscal basketcase during recessions
-
CA used to be conservative on taxes even as it became progressive on most other things. It's position on taxes has since caught up w/ its position on everything else. It's been a transformation...
-
And the conservative side of most of the ballot measures up in 2016 won even as Trump was getting shellacked 2-1.
-
Uh, voters extended the tax hikes on higher incomes, raised the cigarette tax, relaxed sentencing, rolled back the bilingual education ban, legalized marijuana, and upheld a ban on plastic shopping bags.

Jerry Brown has a 56% approval and a significant chunk of disapproval comes from the left.
-
Moonbeam is the most conservative statewide elected official in CA. If you're as old as me that's remarkable to think about.
