Which is totally fair. It just astounds me how willing we are to pay in time spent for not having adequate highways and rails. People hear the numbers and say well I don’t want my taxes increased to pay for project X or Y. But the same guy might sit in traffic every day for 2 hrs

Our highways are pretty good. Our rail sucks, but in a country of this size rail is not exactly critical.

Have you ever driven on I-95? Or around some of the major cities in the Northeast & MidAtlantic? And rail is absolutely critical for those of us in the Northeast corridor.

Also a complete waste of funds. If you want to do train infrastructure that has actual economic benefits, I’d suggest looking at Chicago-area freight rail congestion and what can be done to relieve it.
