It's been suggested Kim Jong Un might demand South Korea reduce the U.S. military presence in its country as a bargaining chip in any peace talks. Could be quite the sly move, actually.

It's a nonstarter so not sure how sly it is. NoKo's move will be to ask for the impossible & claim that absent the impossible their security is threatened therefore nukes.

Yeah, well...there's that! Though it's also clear the North would love nothing more than to wedge out US influence. China might enjoy that, too. But this could easily be a non-starter, as you note.
