members act because they’re scared for their jobs and the NRA is good at enforcing that. you can’t “loosen” votes unless you raise the political cost of obeying the NRA.

I get that and I get that the 2A voters are geographically influential. but that just means that the larger number of voters who oppose the NRA’s legislative agenda need to push hard from the other side.,

the NRA’s power is an obstacle, wherever that power comes from, which means organizers need to identify it and counter it. It’s not a disservice to voters to give them organizing targets!
